As parents, it’s our responsibility to encourage our kids to eat real food, and being a good role model to look up to is probably the best thing we can start with. Letting our child see us having an apple as snack or ordering a fresh salad rather than a burger and fries may encourage them to do the same.
What else? Keep plenty of fruits, vegetables and nuts on hand. This is how we make sure healthy snacks are available at all times. And what is even more important – unhealthy food must not be around. As simple as that. Empty your fridge from all the processed junk.
Moreover, as children develop a natural preference for the foods they enjoy the most, it is very important to teach them proper eating habits early. Talk to your grown-up or little babies, tell them what makes a superfood and also what would be a bad choice for their health. Get them involved in shopping for groceries and preparing healthy meals.
